How to setup CAM (Computer Numeric Control) after the CAD (Computer Aided Draft):
You've probably seen an image like this before, it's pretty basic stuff!



Zero or Home: Is where the Y-Axis and X-axis Intersect, generally the cutting bit starts from this location, also known as Homeā€¦
The Quadrant Entirely in the Positive Realm is where all the Plots go, the cutting bit will move from the center and into the Upper Right Quadrant.
A Plot is an Image already exported as G and/ or M code (Depending on Controller or Machine).
Milling:
Using this DB25 Controller, our Configuration file for Mach3, and the Mach3 Machine Software, any 3-Axis CNC Milling Machine can be used to cut precision components repetitively, good enough for sale or use.
Robotics Arm:
Using this DB25 Controller, our Configuration file for Mach3, and the Mach3 Machine Software, any 3-Axis CNC Robotic Arm can be used for Assembly, Placement, or even for finishing/ Painting of finished goods. A little methodical thinking and CAM Software (Not Mach3 or EMC) will help with programming the Arm, once programmed the Arm will repeat task after task without fail.
Lathe:
The User Interface for the Lathe is a little different, however using the DB25 Controller, our Configuration file for Mach3 and the Mach3 machine software you can run your own CNC lathe; a Lathe will require a little more than this Driver and the Nema-17's the 3-Stepper Motors, it will require Spindle Speed Control at the very least for cutting Threads, Digital read-back is also very important in the case of backlash, this way the Machine Software can compensate for losses.
